Mr. Jimmy Ray Thurman, age 88 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024. Jimmy was born on August 28, 1935, in Blue Ridge, GA to his late parents John Wesley and Willie Mae (Allen) Thurman. Jimmy was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. He was also a Teamster Union Member. Retired from Chemical Leaman Tanklines. Loved growing vegetable gardens and cooking on his GreenEgg. He is proceeded in death by his wife Willa Mae Waters Thurman of 60 years, wife Shirley Alexander Thurman of 3 years and Infant sister Melissa, his brothers Jerry Thurman, Charles Thurman.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Karen and Tim Wright, Hillsboro TN, sons Danny R. Thurman, Chatsworth, GA, and Christopher Thurman, Blue Ridge, GA, grandchildren Brad, Jacob, and Daniel Wright, Toni Thurman, Eli Thurman, and Evan Thurman, great-grandchildren Melissa Thurman, Jameson Thurman, Trinton Thurman, Neal Wright, and Alan Wright, sisters Jeanette and Robert Key, Blue Ridge, GA, Virginia and Dale Cochran, Ellijay, GA, Sarah and Dale Kaylor, Morganton, GA and Cathy Patterson, Ellijay, GA brothers Bill and Deb Thurman, Blairsville, GA, and Alan Thurman, Benton, TN.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 4:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. David Mullins and Min. Butch Jones officiating. Greg Panter, Stephen Halloway, Junior Jenkins, Bud Kirby, Randall Thurman, Darren Cochran, Micheal Bennett, and George Storms will be serving as pallbearers.
