Mrs. Jewell Ann (Coefield) Maddox, age 77 of Cherry Log, GA passed on Monday morning, May 8th, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare Of Blue Ridge. Mrs. Maddox was born February 13th, 1940 in LaGrange, GA to her late parents Jewel Abner Coefield and Selma Louise (Smith) Coefield. She graduated West Point High School, class of 1957 and continued her education receiving a BA from the State University of West Georgia, Masters and Doctorate at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Jewell also worked for the Carroll and Cobb County School Systems where she was a Teacher, Principle and a Curriculum Director. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Isaac Osgood Maddox. She is survived by her Cousins, Lois Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Melissa Bennett of Hilliard, FL; Special Friends, Dolly Vantrepotte of Ellijay, GA; Clarence Blalock of St. Augustine, FL and the Church Family of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 from the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Hagin, Dr. Paul Mimms, Dr. Clarence Blalock and Mr. Stan Jones officiating. Music and singing will be by Jim Richter, Julie Whitworth and Lou Ann Hutcheson. Inurnment will be in the Cherry Hill Cemetery Columbarium in Cherry Log. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Homeward Bound Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 792, Ellijay, GA 30540 or to the Cherry Hill Cemetery Fund in care of Cornerstone Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Maddox.
