Mrs. Jewell Elizabeth Davis, age 84 of Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday morning, July 29th, 2017 at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Mrs. Davis was born May 9th, 1933 in Ellijay, GA to her late parents Charlie E. Green Sr. and Flora Mae Lambert Green.Jewell was a member of the Ball Creek Baptist Church. She graduated Gilmer High School Class of 1952. Jewell was also co-owner and operator of the Ellijay Restaurant. She is preceded in death by her Husband, John Henry Davis, and Brothers and Sisters, Charles Green, George Green, Catherine Humphries, Estelle Smith, Willie Green and Ruth Mayfield. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Mitch And Margaret Davis of Newnan, GA, Jerry and Iris Davis of Ellijay, GA, Jeff and Margie Davis of Chiefland, FL and John Jr. and Hester Davis of Marietta, GA; Grandchildren, Elizabeth Faulkenberg, Justin Davis, Dustin Harper, Hannah Harper, Olivia Davis, Harrison Davis, John Henry Davis, III, Julie Davis, Kelly Gore and Allen Strickland, Great Grandchildren, Maddie Harper, Davis Faulkenberg, Wade Gore, Ella Gore, Ava Jo Strickland and Liam Landaverde, brother, Gary Green of Chatsworth, GA. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 31st, 2017 from the Ellijay City Cemetery with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Singing will be performed by Rev. Scott Eaton.
