Obituary

Jeanette Kordek Key "Miss Jinny", age 73, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025. She was born on March 24th, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward Jerome and Mary Jo Smith Kordek. She is also preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jerry Kordek.

Miss Jinny was a loving wife, mother, and adoring grandmother who cherished time spent with her family and friends. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of fun. She had a gift for making people smile and could bring magic to any situation. Jinny and her husband, Jeff Key, shared 30 beautiful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, trust, and shared dreams. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together as Miss Jinny was always up for an adventure.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Key; daughters and sons-in-law, Katie and Chad Fulcher, and Kerri and Eric Garmon; and her treasured grandchildren, Emma Kate and Tyler Fulcher, and Mason and Charley Garmon. She also leaves behind her sister, Marcey Suelzner, and nieces Becky Suelzner and Mary Jo Burgess—each of whom she loved dearly.

Jinny was admired in the dance world for her accomplished career as an amazing dancer, performer, and teacher. She spent many years dancing on Broadway in New York City, had a very long career with Dan & Co. and Atlanta Jazz Theater, and later opened her own dance business, Tinker Belles.

Jinny's legacy is one of love, laughter, and joy. She brought people together and gave her all to those she cared for. Her memory will live on in the stories told, the traditions continued, and the deep bonds she helped create.

A celebration of life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
