James "Jim" Lawrence Trimby, age 88 of Talking Rock, GA passed on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois to his late parents James Floyd and Alma Helen (Johnson) Trimby. Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper, GA he was a member of the American Legion Post 149 also. Jim served honorably in the Navy and fought in the Korean War. Survivors include wife of 12 years Patricia Mae Trimby, Talking Rock, GA, daughters Becky Trimby, Judy Trimby McKnight, Peggy Trimby of Davenport, Iowa, Tracy and Chuck Atkins, Daytona, FL, Kate Trimby Noble, Riverview, FL, Jackie Poole, Jasper, GA, son Kurt Trimby, Riverview, FL, eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Rice and the North GA Honor Guard officiating. Interment will be at the GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Donations can be made to the First Baptist Church in Jasper in Jim's honor.
