James McKinley Parks, Jr, age 69 of Dalton, GA passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023. James was born in Ellijay, GA to his late parents James McKinley and Reathel Mae (Smith) Parks, Sr. James was a retired auto mechanic.

James is survived by his sisters June Parks (Dennis) Jackson, Lawrenceburg, TN and Jane Parks (Craig) Shoemaker, Kennesaw, GA, and nephews Christopher James Wilber, and William Thomas Wilber, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the James Parks, Jr. memorial fund c/o June Parks Jackson 175 Cemetery Rd Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
