Mr. James Edward Lightcap, Sr, age 70, passed on Monday, November 16, 2020. James was born June 15, 1950 in Birmingham, AL to his late parents Dutton Steele and Phyllis Irene (Nelson) Lightcap. He graduated from Woodlawn High School, class of 1968 and attended the University of Alabama. He served honorably in the United States Army. He was a scheduler and shipping manager for Laribee Wire Corporation, New York, NY. James was preceded in death by his parents, Dutton Steele and Phyllis Irene (Nelson) Lightcap. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11:00 am at Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Interment will be at the North Georgia National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia Fleming Lightcap, of the home in Talking Rock, GA, daughter, Rebecca Irene Lightcap, Talking Rock, GA, sons, James Edward and Michelle Lightcap, Jr, Canton, GA, Dan and Kelli Lightcap, Loganville, GA, grandchildren, Myers Lightcap Heidt, Taylor Nicole Lightcap, Peyton Lightcap, Madelyn Grace Lightcap, sisters, Mary Anne Sears, Salt Lake City, Utah, one niece and three nephews.
