Mr. James "Jim" Edward Maddox, Jr. age 74 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Thursday January 11th, 2024 at Parkside Nursing Home of Ellijay in the peaceful presence of his daughter and son-in-law.

Mr. Maddox was born on August 16th, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to the late Ed and Snookie Maddox. Jim was a veteran and served his country honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Constellation. Jim loved all things music and was an exceptional guitar player. Most recently Jim owned and operated his own leather making company inside Hootenanny's Music Store here in Ellijay. He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Maddox, brothers, Dudley and Ronny Maddox, and his parents, Snookie and Ed Maddox.

Survivors include his daughter, Angel (Tommy) Parker; daughter in law, AmyJo Maddox; grandchildren, Timothy (Chloe) Maddox, Bethany (Brian) Richards; great-grandsons, JB, Jaxon, and Joah Richards; sister in law, Sheila Maddox; brother, David (Cheri) Maddox; sister, Lisa Reid; and special friends, Sharie Bruce and Diane Smallwood also survive.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday January 19th, 2024 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Davenport and the North GA Honor Guard officiating. Special music and singing will be by Brett Cantrell.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the service hour of 2:00pm on Friday January 19th at the Logan Funeral Home.
