Mr. James "Jim" William Beno, age 85 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at Northside Cherokee Hospital.

Mr. Beno was born on April 6th, 1939 in Green Bay, WI, a son of the late William Joseph and Ruth (Withrow) Beno. Jim was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and served his country honorably as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Ellijay, and an avid Green Bay Packers Fan.

Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathryn "Katy" Beno; children and spouses, Matthew Beno (Kristine), Mark Beno (Sarah), Lucas Beno (David), and Jon Beno; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Smedley officiating. Special Music will be provided by Mrs. Sandy Hunter. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium with military rites being performed by the United States Navy.

There will be a reception for family and friends immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends at Hope Lutheran starting at 10:00am, with the service beginning at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Friends of Education c/o Hope Lutheran Church at 3295 Old Highway 5 South Ellijay, GA 30540.
