James was of the Christian faith. He worked as an Electrician. Survivors include daughter and son in law Brittany and Tim Holden, Valrico, FL, sons James K. Bernard, Hahira, GA, Kristian Bernard, Ellijay, GA, Eddie Gier, Valdosta, GA, grand children Trever Holden, Luke Holden, Ellie Holden, father and mother Randall and Bonnie Bernard, Ellijay, GA, brother Randall Matthew and Stephanie Bernard, Tallahassee, FL, Rick Brian Bernard, Ellijay, GA and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial service will be Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Cartecay Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Kelly officiating.
