Mr. James Curtis Amerman, age 83 of Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday, June 19, 2021. James was born July 4,1937 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to his late parents Franklin Felty and Vivian Marie (Curtis) Amerman. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Zephyrhills, FL. James served honorably in the Us Army for over 20 years. He also worked for the Florida Dept of Corrections. James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Minnie Amerman, Ellijay, GA, brother Arnold "Butch" Smith, Tampa, Fl ,daughter Susan Elizabeth Amerman, Clearwater, Fl, sons and daughter in laws James G. and Margaret Amerman, Columbus, GA, John and Debra Amerman, Wesley Chapel, Fl, Edwin and Wendy Amerman, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren Magdeline Mahairass, James C. Amerman, Steven R. Amerman, Kaitlyn N. Amerman, Stephanie Amerman, Kayci Baumann, Johnathan Amerman, Braden Amerman, Drew Amerman, great grandchildren Kai Buckminster, Riley Baumann, Brayson Amerman. Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 24,2021 at 2:00 pm at Logan Funeral Home Pavilion. Officiating will be the North GA honor Guard. Interment will be at the Arlington Nation Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
