Mrs. Helen E. Leatherwood, age 88 of Acworth, GA passed away on Wednesday June 21st, 2023.

Mrs. Leatherwood was born on June 28th, 1934 in Winston Salem, NC to her late parents, James Calvin and Bessie (Cooper) Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmie" Leatherwood.

Survivors include her children and in-laws; James "Dennis" Leatherwood (Mary), Tina Lax (Philip), Sheila Potts (David),; grandchildren, Dave Potts, Michael Potts (Kelsie), Cody Leatherwood, Marisa Davis (Josh), Kinsey Lax, and Karina Lax; great-grandchildren, Bella Hackworth-Potts, Carter Hackworth-Potts, Reagan Potts, and Annabelle Leatherwood; sister-in-law, Betty Honea.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00pm noon on Wednesday June 28th from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Pam O'Gwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the service hour of 12:00pm noon at the Logan Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Life Journey Ministry at 109 West Morris St. Suite A3 Dalton, GA 30720 in memory of Mrs. Leatherwood.
