Mr. Harold Junior Chastain, age 74, of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, June 29th, 2026.

Mr. Chastain was born on October 25th, 1951 in Ellijay to his late parents, William Junior Chastain and Ethel Mae McArthur Chastain. He honorably served our country in the United States Army, and worked for Shaw Industries as an Electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean Chastain of the home in Ellijay; daughters Melissa Lynn Jones and fiancé David Long and Christy Lynn Watson (Corey Watson) of Covington; grandchildren Jacob Jones (Sydney Jones), Jaden Jones, Halie Watson, Hunter Watson, Lily Watson; great-grandchild Callie Jones; sisters and brother-in-law Hilda Chastain Dotson of Ellijay, Juanita Chastain Jones and husband Earnest, and Angie Chastain Reed and husband Robert of Ellijay; brother and sister-in-law Lanny and Elaine Chastain of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mayford McArthur, Rev. Jerry Banks, and Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. Special music by Wesley and Amy Banks. Military honors will follow at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with the North Georgia Honor Guard officiating. Interment will follow in the Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jason Reed, Tim Reed, Jacob Jones, David Long, Marty Panky, Bobby Hice, Jackie Grizzle, and Byron Abercrombie.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 at Logan Funeral Home.
