Mr. Hans Florian Omasta, Age 71, of Ellijay, Ga passed on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Omasta was born on September 18, 1948 in Vienna Austria to his late parents John and Leopoldine Omasta. He served honorably in the US Army as a medical corpsman during the Vietnam War. Mr. Omasta was of the Baptist faith and retired as a police officer from Reinhardt College. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Winona Dickerson Omasta of the home in Ellijay, son and daughter -in-law, Hans and Odilia Omasta, Kennesaw, Ga, Son, Jeffrey W. Humphries, Buford, GA, two Daughters, Laura Walters, Marietta, GA, Angela Cronan, Holly Springs, GA. The Family is receiving friends on Tuesday, May 26,2020 from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon at Logan Funeral Home & Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery in Canton, Ga. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the family to help with the funeral.
