Glen Edward Ponder, age 79 of Ellijay, GA. passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023. Glen was born on September 16, 1944, in Ellijay, GA. to his late parents Charlie Lee Ponder and Ruby Estell Richard. Glen is preceded in death by his sisters Pat Ponder Fricks, Sue Ponder Johnson, Evelyn Cricket Ponder Milton, and brother Gary Ponder.

Survivors include Daughters Angie Paulette Ponder of Henton, GA. Ann Ponder Ledford and Dennis Ledford of Ellijay, GA., Sons Dennis Glen Ponder of Talking Rock, GA. and Michael Edward Ponder of Ellijay, GA., Brothers Robert "Bob" Ponder of Ellijay, GA., Sister Judy Ponder Mann, and Maxine Ponder Little of Ellijay, GA. and 8 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 2nd,2023, from 4-8pm. At the funeral home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October the 3rd, 2023 at 2:00 pm. At Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. Scott Watkins officiating.  Robert Ponder, Donald Ponder, David Austin Ponder, John Harley Ponder, and Bradley Fowler are serving as pallbearers.
