It was during this time Freida decided to enroll in art classes, and discovered her natural talent for painting. Over the years, family and friends were gifted with beautiful artwork to cherish.

Freida also enjoyed time with family and friends, tending to her flower garden, reading, live music, and theater performances. She had a deep affection for animals and showered her 3 beloved poodles, who passed before her, with an abundance of love and attention.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. James Travis.

Survivors include children Randy (Joan) Travis, David (Linsey) Travis, Teri Travis, and Joe (Jeanne) Travis; brothers and sisters-in-law Doug and Jan Hall of Ellijay, GA and Donald and Jackie Hall of Gainesville, GA; nieces Beth (Steve) Jarvis, Jessica (Scott) Appling, and Jennifer (Eric) Colson; and nephews Brandon (Christine) Hall and Cole Hall; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
