Evelyn Leona (Parks) Sanford, age 82 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.  Evelyn was born on April 27, 1940, to her late parents Troy Elisha and Mary Thelma (Hyde) Parks in Ellijay, GA.  Evelyn was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Ellijay.  Evelyn is preceded in death by her sons Kenneth Sanford, and Teddy Sanford, sisters Eloise Withrow, and Vera Tallant, and brother Charles Parks.

Survivors include husband of 64 years Herbert "Hub" Sanford, Ellijay, GA, daughter Joyce Sanford, Ellijay, GA, son Rex Sanford, Walaska, GA, grandchildren Brittany and Ron Lomonaco, Ellijay, GA, Chase Wright and Ashton Huffaker, great-grandchildren Logan Lomonaco, Henley Wright, Titus Huffaker, and Halan Huffaker, sisters Glenda (Everett) Southern, Ellijay, Martha (Norman) Carney, Blue Ridge, GA, and Jerry Millsaps special friend to the family.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 10, 2023, from 3;00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Sevcech, Rev. Eddie Kerr, and Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating.  Tim Parks, Eric Carney, Dorvin Carney, Casey Hall, Danny Banks, Ted Stanfield, Ron Lomonaco, Jerry Millsaps, and Donnie Burgess will serve as pallbearers.
