Emory Reid Jones, age 74 of Ellijay, GA passed away Monday, November 7, 2022. Emory was born March 3, 1948, in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Floyd William and Burnice Ruth (Lowe) Jones. Emory was a Gilmer High Graduate in 1966. Emory was a member of Salem Baptist Church for over 60 years. Emory worked at CTI Carpets, then retired after 20 years at Pilgrim's Pride. Emory after retirement went to work for Gilmer County Land Fill. Emory was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Survivors include wife of 51 years Wanda Reed Jones, Ellijay, GA, daughter Tammy Rena Jones, Ellijay, GA, son David William Jones, Ellijay, GA, grandchild Bryne Allen Eaton, great grandchild Abigail Eaton, and Conner Eaton, sister Clola and James Buford McArthur, Ellijay, GA, brother Marvin and Lovanne Jones, Ellijay, GA and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 2:00 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Brondy Davis, and Rev. Bryan Hensley officiating. Jason Reed, Darin McArthur, Michael Reed, Joe Bouhl, Donny Lee Cantrell, Billy Medlin, and Tommy Patrick serving as pallbearers.
