Mrs. Ellen "Ruth" Ledford Rogers age 91, of Athens AL., formerly of Cherry Log, GA., passed on Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 from the Valley View Health and Rehab in Madison, AL. A member of Board town Church of Christ, born August 4th, 1921 in Cherry Log, GA., to her late parents James Alford and Gertrude Baston Ledford. She is preceded in death by husband Claude Larkin Rogers. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law David and Milly Rogers of Athens, AL., Jamie Rogers of Morgantown, KY, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7th from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister David Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Rogers, Jeff Crowder, Bobby Andrews, Dwayne Rogers, Kris Sandlin, Nathan Sandlin, Johnny Mirle, Bob Andrews. Family will receive friends from 5 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 from the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
