Ellen Joyce Waters Holloway Butler, age 90, of Cherry Log, GA. peacefully passed away on July 24th, 2024. Ellen was born on August 31st, 1933, in Canton, GA. to her beloved parents Mamie Jane "Ledford" and John Nelson Waters. Ellen was a member of the Boardtown Church of Christ for over 70 years, retiree from Lay's Five and Ten Cents Store, Robert Shaw Control's, Candlewick Yarns, but most importantly she served as a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters, Faye and Donny Jones of Ellijay, Sue Holloway Wiley of Cherry Log, and Carol and Allen Champion of Ellijay. Sons; Stephen and Renee Holloway of Ellijay, and David and Julie Holloway of Ft. Collins Colorado. Sister, Melba Waters Bennett of Ellijay. Ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 26th, 2024, from 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, July 27th, 2024, starting at 1pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with minister Jack Kyle and minister Tommy Kyle officiating. Ben Holloway, Caleb Wiley, William Wiley, Lee Oliver, John Oliver, Jacob Beck, Trevor Wiley, and Terry Fowler will be serving as pallbearers.

Interment will follow at the Holloway Family Cemetery.
