Eddie Lamar Sanford, age 58 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. Eddie was born June 14, 1964, in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Edward Lewis and Judy (Duckett) Sanford. Eddie was a 1982 Gilmer High Graduate and played football all four years using the number 55. Eddie was also a local surveyor.

Eddie is survived by his son Edward Sanford, Ellijay, GA, and daughter Kennedi (Justin) Fendley, Ellijay, GA, sister Tena (Vic) Stewart, of Ellijay, GA, grandchildren Violet Fendley, and nephews Thomas Davis (Haley) of Canton, Tanner Davis (Rachel) of Ellijay, Dylan Stewart (Hannah) of Ellijay and Ian Stewart (Darby) of McCaysville.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Logan Funeral Home.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Flowers are being accepted or donations can be given to the Pleasant Hills Montessori School at 228 Pleasant Gap Cir Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Eddie.
