Mr. Duane Urban Luther, age 85 of Ellijay, passed on Thursday January 28th, 2021 at his residence. He was born on March 12th, 1935 to his late parents Urban Francis and Helen Catherine (Miller) Luther in Carrolltown, PA. Duane was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran. Following his military service, he worked and retired as a machinist for Caterpillar Inc. Duane was a member of the American Legion. As per Duane's request, he will be cremated and no service is to be held. Mr. Luther is survived by his wife, Nuella Marie Luther of Ellijay, a daughter, Laura Jean and Dee Green of Kansas City, Missouri, sons, Greg and Vicki Luther of Ellijay, Kenneth and Elaine Luther of Chassahowitzka, Florida, grandchildren, Lindsay and (Matt) Thompson, Mallory and (Ben) Sainato, Chad and (Camille) Luther, Brandon and (Daisy) Luther and Heather Luther, great-grandchildren, Adalynn Thompson and Austin Thompson.
