Mr Delmer Edwin Abercrombie, age 75 of Ellijay, GA passed Wednesday morning, March 1st, 2017 at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Mr. Abercrombie was born March 17th, 1941 in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Robert Lee Abercrombie and Maudie Estell Richards Abercrombie. He attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and retired from Gold Kist Poultry. He is preceded in death by his sisters Willa Jean Abercrombie Parker and Ruby Abercrombie Presley. Survivors include sister, Pauline Abercrombie Pulliam of Grovetown, GA; niece Linda Pulliam; nephews Gary Pulliam, David Pulliam, Don Edwards, and Eddie Presley. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Music and vocals will be by James Abercrombie. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Randy Ponder, 156 Mt. Pisgah Drive, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Abercrombie.
