Daniel Moore Ellis III, of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday, May 15th, 2015 and entered into eternal peace. He was born May 15th, 1981 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman, who loved camping, hiking, fishing, and marathon running. He would light up a room with his charismatic personality, which gave him the ability to touch so many other people's hearts by taking a moment to talk with them and offer his help. Daniel is survived by his beloved mother Debra Garland and step-father Richard Ayers of Hiram, GA. A sister Kennedi Sanford of Ellijay, GA, a brother Joshua Ellis, a sister-in-law Amanda Ellis of Anderson, SC. Two very dear nieces Naomi and Lydia Ellis who he loved so very much. Step-mother Sherry Ellis of Blairsville, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, the late Daniel Moore Ellis, Jr., of Blairsville, GA and his grandfather, the late Daniel Moore Ellis, Sr. of Williamston, SC. Daniel had a special place in his heart for his grandmother Lynne Ellis of Williamston, SC, and his late grandparents Hobert and Agnes Garland of Ellijay, GA. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Monday, May 18th, 2015 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with speaker Joshua Ellis officiating. Vocals will be by Mrs. Eva Reece. Graveside interment will be held in the Underwood Cemetery in Cherrylog, GA. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Garland, Isom McClure, Joshua Ellis, Alan Haigler, Andy Ellis, Jeff McClure, and Greg McClure. Family will receive friends from 10am until 3pm on Monday, May 18th, 2015 at the Logan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daniel M.
