Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" (Geake) Watters, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the age of 81. Cindy is survived by her loving daughter, Lynne Watters; her son, Dr. Eric Watters, and his wife, Cheryl; and her cherished granddaughter, Angelina Grace. She was predeceased by her father, John D. Geake, Sr., mother, Grace V. (Donahue) Geake, and brother, Dr. John D. Geake, Jr. She is survived by her sisters Barbara Nipe and Dr. Janis Donahue, her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephew, numerous cousins, and many dear friends who loved her deeply.

Born in Milford, Massachusetts, Cindy was a long-time resident of South Florida. She was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Miami and the University of Florida. Cindy was a passionate educator who taught high school English and owned 3RRR's Full-Service School in Miramar, Florida, for many years. Later, she served the children of South Florida by working for the Florida Department of Health's Child Care Food Program, ensuring that preschool-aged children received nutritious meals in childcare centers.

Cindy loved spending time with family and friends. She was always just a phone call away if anyone needed anything. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by so many for her kindness.

A Catholic mass to celebrate her life will be held early next year in South Florida. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Logan Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
