Mr. Clyde Coy Beal, age 88 of Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1931 to his late parents Eula Elizabeth Hensley and J.V. Beal. Clyde was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, served honorably in the United States Army in Korea, and was a retiree after 20 years with Jasper Jeep. After retirement, Clyde owned and operated his own auto repair garage. He is preceded in death by sister Barbara Tipps and brother Tommy Beal. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Monday March 9th, 2020 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Hagin, Rev. Tim Hyde and Rev. Justin Hensley officiating. Music and singing will be by the Clayton family and Mrs. Kayla Easley. Military honors will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Tim Bell, Randy Ponder, Brent Ponder, Jake Ponder, Jamie Easley, Jeff Vick, Gary Harper, Tony Smith, Ryke Lowe and Slade Lowe serving as pallbearers. Clyde is survived by his wife of 66 years, Vera Ponder Beal of the home in Ellijay, GA, daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Beal Woody and Kimberly & Mitchell Stanfield both of Ellijay, GA, grandchildren, Amy Nichole Crump and Christopher Clyde Crump, great grandchildren, Ava Lynn Garren, Layla Lei Garren and Landree Kate Crump, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Joe Wayne & Ana Beal and Claude & Maxine Beal of Ellijay, GA. The family is receiving friends on Sunday March 8th, 2020 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital at choa.org or to the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery fund in care of Randy Ponder at 156 Mt. Pisgah Drive Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Beal. The family also requests that no food be brought to the funeral home.
