Mrs. Clola Jones McArthur, age 77, of the Boardtown Community of Ellijay, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026.

Clola was born on May 26th, 1949 in Ellijay to her late parents Floyd and Ruth Jones. She was a graduate of the Gilmer High School Class of 1967 and was faithful and devoted member of the Salem Baptist Church. She held a deep love for the Lord throughout her life. Her strong faith, gentle nature, and caring heart were a blessing to her family, friends, and church family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Emory Jones and Marvin Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Buford McArthur of the home in Ellijay; daughter Tonia McArthur of Ellijay; son Darin McArthur of Ellijay; sisters-in-law Wanda Jones and LaVonne Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 31st, 2026 from the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Hensley and Rev. Brondy Davis officiating. Music will be provided by Wesley and Amy Banks.

Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jason Reed, David Jones, Adam McVey, Jeremy Parks, Zander Parks, Timmy Reed, Branson Chastain, Brent Chastain.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at Logan Funeral Home.

Food and flowers are being accepted in memory of Mrs. McArthur.
