Christopher Monroe Long, 44, of Cherry Log, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Chris was born on October 8, 1980, in Dalton, GA, to his parents, Roger Monroe Long and Pamela Ruth Hogan. Chris loved hunting, fishing, and his family, and he loved the Lord. Chris is preceded in death by his father-in-law Layman Langford.

Chris is survived by his wife Kayla Danielle Long over 20 years, children: Laila Defoor Long, Gracie Mae Long, Hunter Defoor (Jennifer), father and stepmom Roger and Dianna Long, Mother Pamela Hogan, sister Aubrey Long (Bert), step brothers Kenneth Foster (Melissa), Brian Foster, Nathan Foster (Stacy), James Foster (Renea), brother in law Michael Langford (Shelby), mother in law Linda Langford, grandchildren Dawson and Walker Defoor, special uncle Loyd Long, and several nephews, and a niece survive.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 11 am to 2 pm. The funeral service will be at 2 pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Maney and Rev. Scott Watkins officiating.
