Mrs. Charlia Mae (Buckner) Parks age 85 of Ellijay, GA passed on Monday March 9th, 2020 at the Parkside Nursing Home. She was born on October 6th, 1934 to her late parents, Samuel and Callie (Osborne) Buckner in Ellijay, GA. Charlia was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, David O. Parks, son, Tommy Parks and brother, S.C. Buckner. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday March 11th, 2020 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Paula Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Parks is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Parks of Ellijay, GA, Janice & Bill Henry of Valdosta, GA, granddaughter, Jessica Shiver, great-granddaughter, Kennedy Rae Shiver, brother, Columbus Buckner of Lawton, OK, several nieces and nephews also survive.
