CHARLES EDWARD CARR, JR Mr. Charles Edward Carr, Jr, age 69 of Coosawattee River Resort Community Ellijay, GA passed on Tuesday, January 21 at Emory St. joseph Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Carr was born on June 1, 1950 in Mendenhall, Mississippi to his late parents Charles Edward and Helen (Wilson) Carr, SR. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Jackson State University. A private memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at Logan Funeral Home & Chapel. Rev. Larry Ham will be officiating. Mr. Carr, Jr. is survived by his wife Barbara Ellen (Hurd) Carr of the home in Ellijay, GA, daughter Christina Lynn Carr of Port St. Jo, FL, sons, Daran Brown Nottingham, Kingsport, TN and Ricky Nottingham, Kingsport, TN, grandchildren Tyler Brown Nottingham, great grandchildren, Knox Brown Nottingham, sisters, Diane Ertel, Ellijay, GA, sister and brother in law Nancy (Larry) Mann, Cumming, GA, sister Karen Hanson, Covington, GA. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Legion, Ellijay, GA in memory of Mr. Carr.
