Ms. Brenda Searfoss Golden, age 66 of the Tails Creek community, Ellijay, Georgia formerly of New York passed on Friday, October 2, 2015, at her residence. Ms. Golden was born January 13, 1949 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania to her late parents William Edward and Zilpha Pauline Maxwell Searfoss. She worked in patient care at the New York State Veterans Home and for Rite Aid Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. Brenda was a talented artist and painter. She is survived by her companion of 13 years, John Melnlkoff of the home in Ellijay, Ga; Daughters, Angela Luther of Asheville, NC and Sara Scully of Rensselaer, NY; Sons, Chris Hamilton of Albuquerque, NM, Geoffrey Hamilton of Katy, TX, and Brian Golden of Syracuse, NY; 9 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive. There are no services planned. In leiu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Food Bank of Central New York, 7066 Interstate Island Road, Syracuse, NY 13209 in memory of Ms. Golden.
