Mr. Billy Sisson, age 77 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Thursday November 23rd, 2023.

Billy was born on July 24th,1946 in Gilmer County to the late Sherman R. and Ruby (Wheeler) Sisson. He attended the Mountaintown Baptist Church in Ellijay. Billy was deeply loved by his family, friends, and so many in the community. Billy is preceded in death by brothers Jack Sisson, Lee Roy Sisson, David Sisson and sisters Pauline Wilson and Jean Waters.

Survivors include his son, Joseph (Lauren) Sisson; grandchildren, Bryson and Lilah Sisson, Ashlyn and Anniston Gaydon; sisters, Jerri Sisson Rittenhouse and Betty (John) Rapson; several nieces and nephews; Billy is also survived by the special relationship with the Logan Family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday November 29th, 2023, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Snider and speaker Mickey Call officiating. Special music and singing will be by Brett Cantrell. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery with Jeff Ellington, Rozier Wingate, David Westmoreland, Alan Dover, Bunk Elliott, and

Rich Kahn all serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm noon until the service hour of 2:00pm on Wednesday November 29th at the Logan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gilmer Senior Center in memory of Billy.
