Mr. Ben Anderson Holt, Jr., age 58 of Canton, GA formerly of Ellijay passed on Monday March 8th, 2021 at the Northside Cherokee Hospital. He was born on July 19, 1962 to his father, Ben Anderson, Sr. and late mother, Jaqueline Loretta (Westbrook) Wilbanks in Ellijay, GA. Ben was a member of the Mt. Paran Church of God, Pi-Kappa-Alpha fraternity and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1980 and attended Georgia Tech and Southern Polytech University. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday March 13th, 2021 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Fields officiating. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery with Brandon Holt, Barrett Holt, Blake Holt, Blaine Holt, Gary Brandon, Sean Todd, Andrew Howlett, Nick Schlappi and Zach Taylor serving as pallbearers. Mr. Holt is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynn Burleson Holt of Canton, daughters and sons-in-law, Lindsey and Andrew Howlett of Winter Garden, FL, Ragan and Nick Schlappi of Milton, GA, R. Erin Holt and Zach Taylor of Canton, GA, grandchildren, Griffin, Elliot and Crawford Schlappi, father, Ben, Sr. and Gyann Holt of Ellijay, GA, sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and Gary Brandon, Shanna Holt, Paige and Sean Todd , Cherish and Aaron Roberts, Anya and Chris Trulove, Karis and Simon Hunter, brothers and sister-in-law, Brandon and Niurmar Holt, Barrett Holt, Blake Holt and Blaine Holt, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. The family will receive friends at the Logan Funeral Home on Friday March 12th from 2:00pm-7:00pm.
