Alice Elaine (Richie) Monroe, age 84 of Ellijay, GA passed on Wednesday July 29th, 2020. She was born on September 22nd, 1935 to her late parents, John and Vera Richie in Flint, Michigan. Alice retired from the Genesse County Prosecutors office as the clerk. Alice graduated class of 1953 from Beecher High School in Flint, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Monroe. Alice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen Ann & James Ingersoll of Ellijay, GA, sons Mark & (Robin) Jankowski of Davison, Michigan, Thomas K. Jankowski of Ormond Beach, Florida. Two grandchildren Brent Jankowski, and Brandi Jankowski. Sisters Fran (Wade) Smoot of St. Petersburg, Florida, Barbara Sokolowski, of Mount Dora, Florida, brother Jack Richie, of Lake Placid, Florida, sister-in-law Shirley Richie, of Summerfield, Florida, extended family Terry Monroe & Tom Monroe, of Millington, Michigan.
