Mr. Reed Lester "Ed" Bearden age 75, of the Cartecay Community passed from this life on October 7th, 2010. He was of the Baptist Faith being saved in the Logan Funeral Home Chapel at his mothers funeral service. He was employed with The City of Ellijay as a maintenance man. Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law Rosetta and Albert Rabun of Winder, GA, Rachel and Otis Nix of Langston, AL., Ruby and James Lowman of Ellijay, GA., brothers and sister-in-law Ralph and Elvira Bearden of Ellijay, GA., Roy Bearden of Jefferson, GA., special friend Jeanette Hill of Ellijay, GA., and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 10th, 2010 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hubert Legg and Rev. Larry Welch officiating,music and singing by the Old Jerusalem Church Choir, Crystal Lowman and Roy Neal. Graveside service will follow in the Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Moore, Johnny Moore, Johnny Mann, Walter Mann, Mason Mann, Joseph Mann, Eugene Satterfield and Calvin Lowman. Family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9th, 2010 at the Logan Funeral Home. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to The Reed L.
