Ozal Crook Henson, age 88 of the Turniptown Community of Ellijay, GA., passed from this life on Sunday, July 22nd, 2012. She was a member of Turniptown Baptist Church, born September 20th, 1923, to her late father and mother Clarence Henry and Vester Agnus Crook in Ellijay, Gilmer County, GA. A most loving and caring person to all that knew her. Mrs. Henson is preceded in death by husband Frank Homer Henson, sister Audry Crook Mayfield and brother Elridge Crook. Survivors include daughter Brenda Henson Edens of Gainesville, GA., son and daughter-in-law James and Gail Henson of Ellijay, GA., grandchildren Stephen Edens, Amanda Edens Barnett, Matthew Henson, Zachery Henson, six great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers and sister-in-law Dorothy Crook Fox of Ballground, GA., Louise Crook Wilbanks of Newnan, GA., Raymond Crooke, of Ellijay, GA., and Grady and Edith Crook of Ellijay, GA. Funeral serviceS will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 25th, 2012 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Pettit and Rev. Lewis Payne officiating, music and vocals by Rev. Irene Wofford. A graveside interment service will follow in the Turniptown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Edens, Matthew Henson, Zachary Henson, Christian Edens, and Louis Payne. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24th, at Logan Funeral Home.
