Mrs. Maranda Rachel Adams age 94 of Highway 515, Cherry Log, GA., passed from this life Thursday, February 25th, 2010. Member of Cherrylog Baptist Church for 60 years. Born December 4th, 1915 to her late parents Sherman and Della Mae Shuler Jenkins in Robbinsville, NC., retiree of Levi Strauss of Blue Ridge after 31 years, also employed with Watkins Memorial Hospital for over 10 years. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Henry Adams. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Leonard and Olana Adams of Ellijay, GA., Jack and Joyce Adams of Blue Ridge, GA., three grandchildren Lee Adams, Jack Adams Jr., Angie Ledford, three great-grandchildren Zac Adams, Hannah Payne and Rachel Adams. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 27th, 2010 from the Cherrylog Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Thrasher, Rev. Phillip Green and Rev. James Galloway officiating, music by the New Antioch Choir, interment following in the Cherrylog Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Adams, Jack Adams, Jr., Zac Adams, Greg Ledford, Larry Fox, Jr., Matthew Davenport, Michael Pope, Kenneth Chastain, and Darrell Stewart, honorary pallbearers will be Jim Gilliand, William Earl Thrasher, Pat Harris, Danny Key, Tim Messer. Family will receive friends at Logan Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 27th, 2010.
