James " Jim " Harold Wood age 78, of Highway 5 South, Ellijay, Georgia passed Tuesday morning, November 29th at his residence. Jim was a graduate of Tate High School Class of 1949, and a retired Lockheed Air Craft worker with over 37 years of employment. Born December 19, 1932, to his late parents William Dewey and Florence Lawson Wood, and preceded in death by his sister Jorene and brother Johnny Wood. Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Garland Wood, of the home in Ellijay, son and daughter-in-law James Barry and Adina Wood, a granddaughter Tiffany Wood of Cartersville, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law Dr. Rebecca and Howard Ray of Ball Ground, Georgia; sister-in-law Janice Garland Mosley of Whitestone, Georgia; brothers-in-law James Garland of Whitestone, Georgia and Harold Garland of Marietta, Georgia. Several nieces and nephewss also survive. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday. November 30th, At the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Crews officiating, with interment following in the Whitestone Baptist Church Cemetery.
