Age 65, of the Boardtown Community, passed Thursday morning, March 7th, 2013, at the Gilmer Nursing Home. A church going member of the Baptist Faith. Harold graduated from Gilmer High School Class of 1966. A retired truck driver who was employed by Lance Trucking of Blue Ridge, Ga. Born February 11, 1948 to his late parents Rev. William Cleveland and Mary Virginia Key Underwood, in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. Harold is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marilyn Panter Underwood of the home in Ellijay, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law Tracy and Brad Jenkins of Ellijay, GA and Tina and Allen Brooks of Canton, Ga.; son and and daughter-in-law Jeremiah and Courtney Underwood of Yellville, AR.; grandchildren Ashlyn Jenkins, Brady Brooks, Braden Jenkins, and Sarah Beth Brooks; brother and sister-in-law Doug and Rose Underwood of Morrow, Ga. Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m, Sunday afternoon, March 10th, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. James Worley officiating. Vocals and music by the New Hope Baptist Church Choir. Interment was in the Underwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Underwood, Darryl Whitworth, John Bramlett, Steve Underwood, Randy Key, Roger Higdon, Lamar Underwood, and Rodney Key. Honorary Pallbearers were Ray Jenkins, Lewis Dienes, Harold Evans, Edgar Land, Brady Brooks, and Braden Jenkins.
