Bonnie Mincey Wishon age 86, of the Boardtown Community, Ellijay, GA., passed from this life Saturday, May 15th, 2010 from the Life Care Center in Ducktown, TN. Born February 2nd, 1924 to her late parents Leonard Franklin and Thea Docia Lingerfelt Mincey in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, GA. Mrs. Wishon, a member of Salem Baptist Church, taught school at the Sheep Pen School in the Boardtown Community. She is preceded in death by husband Warren Wishon, brothers Johnny and Marion Mincey. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Jane Wishon of Ellijay, GA.; grandchildren and in-laws Amy Wishon Keener, Kenny and Amanda Wishon of Ellijay, GA.; great-grandchildren Mary and Jack Keener and Sawyer Wishon; sisters Nina Mincey Moss of Dahlonega, GA., Verdell Mincey Thomas of Ellijay, GA., Opal Mincey Beaver of Lilburn, GA. Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Monday, Mary 17th, 2010 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Moss Fountain, Rev. Mark Chastain and Rev. Charlie Mull officiating, with Shane Townley leading the congregational singing. Graveside service will follow at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with interment to follow. Pallbearers will be Gary Hyde, Scott Jones, Leon Watkins, Tommy Fisher, Jeff Thomas and Mitchell Newton. Family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M.
